I was looking at photos of Wimbledon particularly Naomi Campbell and what looks like an enormous security guard with her.

So if you are an Alist celeb - the sort likely to be mobbed out and about where you need security - and you go to events that need tickets like Wimbledon or Taylor Swift concerts or the Serpentine Summer party.

do you need to get a ticket for your security? or do you have to pre-book (alert the venue you have security who you need with you) or do they just wave them in?

In some cases it must really matter.

Say for example you have a venue licenced to hold 200 people and you hold a party and invite 200, if all of those people or even a quarter of them turn up with one security member then you are unlawfully exceeding your licenced capacity.

How does this work at ticketed events? Anyone know?

I've not reached Celebrity Status yet, but if I do I will send you a detailed private message on exactly how I'm dealing with this sort of issue. Just hang in there...

I suspect that genuine A listers don’t buy tickets in the first place and it’s more about a question of how many are in their party which will include close security but not the others who may be outside or further away.

The A lister’s security team will have a conversation with the security team at the venue to ensure everyone is safe and adequately protected.

@TwoLeftSocksWithHoles I was hoping that someone who worked for such a venue or had in the past worked for a celeb or a celeb agent might know!! Not thinking the A List was hanging round MN - they are all too busy at Wimbledon.

The A listers all get freebie tickets anyway…..so I’m sure their security ar e free as well

@Kitkat1523

I wasn't asking about payment. I meant logistics.

Do the security need to be allocated a ticket? Or are they just waved in without one?

Or do the celeb team say we will need to bring 2 security guards so count them in too?

Or is it just assumed there will be security so no one need to pre-arrange it.
