Paris - can anyone help?

I want to take my children to Paris next year (I’m not a massive fan but the dc’d really want to go) can anyone recommend any cheap good hotels near the centre, or alternatively what areas to stay in? I have found some hotels but reading reviews they all seem to state “in a bad area etc” I haven’t got the biggest budget so would appreciate any help please!

I would avoid the arrondissement. 18th and 19th. I like around jardine d lux' arr. 6th which is much cheaper than other parts like 2nd and its near the Montparnasse - Bienvenüe / Vavin metro so very easy to get around if you don't feel like walking.

Booking.com or Airbnb have great options.

I stop at Le Clos Medicis, a lovely little hotel near Jardin Du Luxembourg. It's near the boating pond in the park, a pleasant walk down to the Seine where the bus tour sets off from the quai, near to the Cluny Museum ( my favourite) and a quick walk to Angelina's! There are some nice but relatively inexpensive restaurants in the square ( including a McDonalds if you have to,) and a metro stop opposite. It's a safe area, I have stayed there solo and never felt under threat.

We (me plus one DC) stayed at Hotel de Flore in Montmartre, which I felt was perfectly safe and very easy to get on the metro/buses, etc.

@AuxArmesCitoyens that looks amazing but nothing left for the date we want!
