Hi, I was wondering if anyone might be able to give me some advice please. My dd set up a depop account for purchasing not selling. She had to put in her bank details for the money to be taken when she buys something. She bought a bag a couple of weeks ago for £50 (she’s a teen, this is a lot of money for her, and for me tbh). The seller has been messing her about, promising to send and then not bothering etc. I’ve just had a look into how to raise this with depop. I only use vinted and there you’re automatically refunded if you don’t receive the item. However on the depop help page it says that it’s against their rules to pay with anything other than PayPal or depop balance (from selling) and therefore they can’t promise you’ll get your money back. This is insane, how can it be against their rules if they literally ask you to put your bank details in when you set the account up?? Is there any way around this? We both feel sick as losing £50 and allowing a scammer to take it from her. Thanks in advance for any help.
