What are my rights

I asked to cancel an order from an online website. I had ordered from it instead of a similar sounding website by mistake. I also noticed they had thousands of reviews that they were a scam, and they for example refill perfumes with counterfeit scents and pull other tricks like that. I tried to undo the charge with my bank but they said they would only do it if I had a code from the retailer to say they wouldn’t take my money. Luckily the website I ordered from emailed to say they’d cancelled the order and had issued a refund. 5 days later I get a desptach email and another email today that Royal Mail are definitely delivering it. I haven’t had a refund.

cancel your bank card and replace it. Write off the money you've lost

This is like saying "I've given a burglar the key to my home, what are my rights?" The burglar doesn't care what your rights are.

You have the right to return the product for a refund. That's it at this stage.

Did you happen to pay with PayPal? I had the same thing happen to me. Because I had paid with PayPal I was able to raise a dispute and I managed to get a refund.

Yeah from reading the reviews, buyers who said they tried to get a refund had the retailer say the buyer did something with the item etc to deny them a refund

cancel your card -those scumbags have your details. I've fallen for similar, and had to cancel my card for peace of mind.

How did you pay for it?
You can do raise a dispute with the bank if the retailer doesn't refund you when you return the item
I dont see how cancelling your card would help
