What's the distance between where your mum's and your dad's from?

Just under 5 miles. They met as teenagers, through friends of friends I believe.

Similar for me and dh too. Met at sixth form when dh joined my school.

DD's boyfriend lives over 4000 miles away! They met when she worked over there for a few months.

About 1500 miles.

165 miles, but they met on a completely different continent where one had moved to and one was visiting with work

My mum moved around a lot as a child so ended up in the same secondary school as my dad when they were 16 and lived a few streets away. But from where my mum lived when she was born about 10 miles!

Haven't got a clue if I'm honest. They're both from the same city so within 10 miles I'd imagine.

0.4 miles, less than 10 minutes walk.

Maybe half a mile ,my dad was my mums brother's best friend, they've known each other since they were about 10 ,which is now 65 years they've been married for 50 !

Not sure precisely but around a mile or so. They met at church as teenagers.

My in-laws on the other hand, more like 160 miles - they met at university.

They were born within a month of each other my dad in Ireland and my mum in Lancashire ,so 430 miles according too Google
My Dad's family emigrated to England when he was eleven In Manchester ( a couple of miles from the city centre) which is apparently about 30 miles
And they met in a club in Manchester when they were both 28 ,they are 82 now.

They lived in villages either side of a pair of hills. The main road round is about 7 miles but there is a small road that runs through the valley between the hills which is about 3 or 4 miles. My dad used to walk it regularly to come and see my mum.

Same county. More or less same class background, same type of religion, same political leanings. Very compatible on paper, but actually too different and very different family cultures.
