Things you love about yourself

I’ll go first.

I love that I stick at things or if I fall off, I jump back on.

I love my nails, long and strong.

Tell me some things you love about yourself. No negative self-talk allowed! 😜. We will be with ourselves until our dying day, let's show ourselves some love on this lighthearted thread.

I have lovely long eyelashes, I'm a good boss and mother (just had to do the exact opposite of my own mother). I very rarely hold a grudge

My body is pretty reliable, mechanically. I'm 61 and can still run 10k comfortably. Can still do anything physical I set my mind to, swimming, cycling etc.

This is cool. I want that at 61, or 51 tbqhwy.

Nothing.

Perfectlystill · 12/07/2024 23:46

I am funny and strong and my children know very clearly that they are loved.

I'm also good at cooking and my dog wants for nothing.

I have a strong moral sense and will try to do the right thing in any given situation, even if it means going against others. I'm naturally shy but don't hesitate to make my voice heard if it is the right thing to do.

I work really bloody hard and am good at my job (MH nurse).

I love my kids and they come before anything.

I am organised and run our home trying to make life happy and smooth.

I have been through so much; don’t often realise how strong I probably am.

I love that no matter how I've been treated I'm not spiteful. I may be angry and resentful but I never act like a twat. I think I'm above that

You are who I aspire to be!! Any tips on the weight control greatly appreciated 🙏 Lovely thread!

Oh thank you! How kind! I go to Slimming World. Keeps me focussed on healthy eating, but not in an obsessive way.

I feel like I have helped my sons achieve a lot. I hope this will set them up for life.

SabbatWheel · 13/07/2024 09:14

Love that I’m 57 with dark brown hair and not one single grey (parents were going grey in their 30s).

That Mumsnet has given me the words to say no to things I really don’t want to do, politely. I’ve then passed this on to others who have used it successfully.

That I can drive / ride anything from a horse to a bike to an artic.

mamaduckbone · 13/07/2024 09:27

I make bloody good cakes. 🍰

MaidOfSteel · 13/07/2024 09:29

I have lots of love to give. I never felt loved growing up and thought, as a result, that I wouldn't be capable of love. How wrong I was!

I have a lot of empathy, too.and I'm always trying to put myself in others' shoes, help them find solutions, ways to cope etc.

I have good hair and great ankles.

DilemmaDelilah · 13/07/2024 10:20

I am kind

My favourite thing about me is that I love to fight. All my other friends are conflict avoiders. I even take on other peoples fights. Only if they are right, morally, even better if it's the small boy fighting the big man. I'm meticulous and record all the times and dates, collect all the evidence, then present it. Satisfying.
