Anyone near this weekend's M25 closure?

Supposed to be going to Thorpe Park this weekend.

How bad was the local traffic last time? Is it worth even attempting it?

I live on the diversion route, last time traffic was fine but I think that was because most people heeded the warnings and stayed away. Thorpe Park isn't directly on the diversion route so it depends on where you are coming from - if coming from - if coming from north of the diversion then you'll probably be fine, but if you would need to come off the M25 at junction 10 then it's difficult to say - it depends on how many people decide to ignore the advice and go that way anyway. Personally I hope most people do stay away as otherwise it will make life very difficult for those of us who have no choice but to use those roads to simply leave our house.

I live nearby and the last time it was closed, it was lovely and quiet. It did seem like most people stayed away. It will probably be a good time to go to Thorpe Park as it may be quieter.

Update - it's definitely been busier than last time, as I expected. You probably made the right decision.
