Formal complaint in education

If a formal complaint is made about a teacher in school would they be informed who the complaint came from?
A teacher has put children in danger, potentially escaping the site, very poor teaching, storms out of classroom in tears frequently, unable to teach her class due to poor mental health so reorganisation of classes needed which had detrimental effect on whole school, children dislike her and cry coming into school / run away, has been vindictive to other staff members, resulting in some taking time off sick and others leaving the school. SLT incompetent and seemingly don’t care.
There’s lots more but I’m too exhausted to list. Feel helpless but also need to take action, but unsure as to what?
Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

I regularly arrange for formal complaints by parents to be considered and arrange complaints committee meetings for governing bodies and yes, the teacher concerned would be made aware of who had made the complaint. You should check your school's complaints policy, which will be on their website, for the exact process that will be followed by the headteacher and governors.

Thanks everyone, I’ve just found the complaint policy online, also information on the government’s whistleblowing service, I had no idea such a thing existed.
I know you’re all strangers but I feel the need to clarify that our daughter isn’t disruptive in the slightest, has always been timid and obedient, doesn’t ever stand up for herself (sadly, I wish she did) but was scared and bolted to hide as she thought the teacher was going to shout. She knows running out was wrong. I hate to picture her feeling like that and wish I had spoken up sooner.
