Just noticed some in South London while waiting for bus so maybe!

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 11/07/2024 17:23

You need a bubble machine.

Repels them like nothing else!

Nacknick · 11/07/2024 18:29

Yes flying ant day here too! West of London

AuntieJoyce · 11/07/2024 18:33

We’re in Yorkshire so may never have that day this year. If only it would stop raining I would get out my orange sun towel just to give them something to aim for.

3WildOnes · 11/07/2024 18:33

Here too in SW London.

Redlorryyellowlorryblue · 11/07/2024 18:38

Yes, in SE London and loads of non-flying on the ground.

goingtohellinahandcart · 11/07/2024 18:42

One year we'd gone out for the today and came back to find the ants from the nest by our back door had found a way in and the flying ants were walking up the kitchen wall, thankfully we arrived back before they started flying or we would have had ants everywhere

ATribeCalledQuestion · 11/07/2024 18:44

Yes! SE London. Horrific little buggers

Crinklycrisp · 11/07/2024 18:44

Not here, they would drown in the drizzle.

ProjectKettle · 11/07/2024 18:51

Yes! SW London - just went outside to hang some washing and got absolutely attacked by a load.

popandchoc · 11/07/2024 18:59

I’m at Wimbledon today and they’ve been landing on the players and flying everywhere .

avocadotofu · 11/07/2024 18:59

There are loads in my bit of southeast London too

GasPanic · 11/07/2024 19:01

Not here and I normally get a few.

I think they all drowned.

socks1107 · 11/07/2024 19:05

We have them here in north Kent

Dartwarbler · 11/07/2024 19:15

Nope. They’d need to de-ice their wings and wear thermals here in Lancashire
🥶🥶🥶🐜

MadKittenWoman · 11/07/2024 19:25

Nope, not in South-west yet.

OhamIreally · 11/07/2024 19:36

North London just saw loads of non flying ones on the pavement

Pieceofpurplesky · 11/07/2024 19:38

None in the NW yet. Was 17 July last year.

rightoguvnor · 11/07/2024 19:41

I'm just east of you but nothing here, I usually have two large nests in my garden.
Mind you, they could have come out and flown on, I've been indoors most of the day googling 'why aren't my effing tomatoes reddening up'.

ButtonMoonMrsSpoon · 11/07/2024 20:39

I had about 300 inside my bedroom today, horrible things

longdistanceclaraclara · 11/07/2024 20:43

Yep, SE London.

SnapdragonToadflax · 11/07/2024 20:45

A few in Essex but definitely not actual Flying Ant Day.

BlackCatsAreBrilliant · 11/07/2024 20:45

They would drown here if they tried. Midlands.

Amethystanddiamonds · 11/07/2024 20:52

In the NW. They'd drown in the floods here if they didn't get hypothermia first.

MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira · 11/07/2024 20:53

Yes got them here too! Essex
