anyone else getting swarmed and plagued and having to close all doors and windows and hold breath for quick dash out to the garage?

Just noticed some in South London while waiting for bus so maybe!

We’re in Yorkshire so may never have that day this year. If only it would stop raining I would get out my orange sun towel just to give them something to aim for.

Yes, in SE London and loads of non-flying on the ground.

One year we'd gone out for the today and came back to find the ants from the nest by our back door had found a way in and the flying ants were walking up the kitchen wall, thankfully we arrived back before they started flying or we would have had ants everywhere

Not here, they would drown in the drizzle.

Yes! SW London - just went outside to hang some washing and got absolutely attacked by a load.

I’m at Wimbledon today and they’ve been landing on the players and flying everywhere .

There are loads in my bit of southeast London too

North London just saw loads of non flying ones on the pavement

None in the NW yet. Was 17 July last year.

I'm just east of you but nothing here, I usually have two large nests in my garden.
Mind you, they could have come out and flown on, I've been indoors most of the day googling 'why aren't my effing tomatoes reddening up'.

A few in Essex but definitely not actual Flying Ant Day.

They would drown here if they tried. Midlands.

In the NW. They'd drown in the floods here if they didn't get hypothermia first.
