Rash on DS

DS(13) has had a nasty cough virus for 2 weeks. He's just been away with school for 2 nights and felt awful the whole time. He now has this rash on his face which he says is itchy. I tried antihistamine as thought it was hives but it's no better. Should we bother the GP with this (not just the rash but the illness in general).

If otherwise well, it's likely viral, apply moisturiser as needed, antihistamines might ease any itching, but won't make this type rash go away, it'll resolve over time. There's good advice here on when to be worried https://www.what0-18.nhs.uk/parentscarers/worried-your-child-unwell/rashes
