Notice period for preschool but on free gov funding

I am looking to withdraw dc from current preschool but not within the required term's notice (giving notice now to not attend in sept).

We're not paying the preschool at the moment .. it's through gov funding.

Will the preschool ask me to pay the term's fees? Can I claim it through gov funding if necessary?

(Dc will not be using childcare funding next term).

The rules on funding during a notice period are different depending on your local authority. Who are you with?
Some LA's also expect a report detailing anyone over a certain threshold of non attendance, I presume because they are then ineligible for the funding
