Deli around Oxford

Does anyone know of a deli around Oxford with a nice bakery that also sells decent ground coffee please? Ideally an independent not a chain.

It's in our way to the coast and we'd like to pick up some nice bits for our holiday accommodation.

Which route are you taking? You will want to avoid the city centre at all costs. I wouldn’t go further in than a suburb like Headington or Summertown.

Yes, same question really...depends on the route you're taking. Avoid the city centre unless you're actually going in to visit. If it's just stopping off on route, Millets Farm at Frilford has a lovely farm shop with butchers, bakery, deli counter etc and is independent.

There is also Cobbs near Englefield if you're passing Oxford and heading in the Reading direction. Both of those also have cafes if you want to get a drink too on your way.

Millets Farm was my first thought too. www.milletsfarmcentre.com/

Thanks. We're taking the M40 south.

We have family in Summertown so that's not too difficult to get to and we've been to the centre quite a bit so outskirts would work better.

I'll check out the place recommended above.

There's a good deli at Bicester Avenue Garden Centre (the Blue Diamond one) if you're coming on the M40. Not independent though. Millets Farm is the best one locally in my opinion.

I think Millets Farm is on the other side of Oxford unfortunately but I'll keep it in mind for next time.
