My OH has gone to the pub to play dominoes with his OAP pals tonight, as one does.

I don't care I've had a nice night. Scrolled TikTok cleaned downstairs I'm happy but when he left I asked what time he would be home, he said "not late I'll be home by 10 latest" I asked how he was getting home, he said he'd walk, I said I'd rather you didn't, just get a taxi. end of.

why has this man just text me saying Norman is giving me a lift home.. its 11pm but ok. I said okay no worries, he says, he's just got another pint but as soon as he's done I'll be home babe... erm, get lost it's already 11 😂

If my DH told me "Just get a taxi. End of"

I'd tell him to go fuck himself 'End of'.

But apart from that, at least he's getting a lift. I don't really see a problem to be honest.

sorry my punctuation is lacking, I didn't say end of, I'm just meaning that was the end of our conversation

I don’t understand the problem. He shouldn’t have gone out at all? He should have been home at ten? He shouldn’t have accepted a lift? I don’t see that any of this makes him in any way a ‘shit’, unless it’s the only night you’ve had together in months…

It's just that he was trying to make it seem like it wasn't his fault he was late, blaming poor Norman, as if he couldn't have just got a taxi an hour ago like discussed, but as I said it's lighthearted I love him dearly 😂
