I know it could easily be more.
I'm looking for ideas, partially because I'm never sure it's enough.
Lunchboxes today contained 1 flat peach, 1 small bunch of grapes. 2 salad leaves each for their sandwiches.
Dinner is homemade chilli, containing the following between 3 people, with leftovers:
- 1 onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1.5 tetra packs passata
- 1 tin of black beans (I know they're pulses - do they even count?)
- a handful of frozen pepper slices
- a few slices avocado - maybe 1/2 between 3
- a small handful some olives between 2 of us (one will refuse)
- 1/2 tin of sweetcorn
Pudding will be a fruit medley of mango, cherries, strawberries and water melon. A small (old-style glass) bowl each.
I know that's likely 5 a day, but feels like a) hard to achieve daily and b) very evening-heavy. So, if you have kids of primary age and above (1 is a late teen in this house) please share how you get them to ingest more fruit and veg.
