Single Justice Procedure Notice - anyone had one of these?

I got it through the post this lunchtime, for a journey I did week before last, 50 in a 30 zone. I was on a single carriage road, speed limits 50/national for most of it including through villages although this particular village was a 30. I only saw the 30 sign sideways at the moment I drove past it because there was a fucking great tree growing all over it. I did drop to 30 as soon as I could but obviously got clocked in the meantime. This is pretty bad isn't it? Like, temporary ban arena? What the fuck do I do now?

I would be getting down to take pics of the signage and lack of visibility; talking to a solicitor; and pleading guilty with mitigation. Quickly ...

FFS. I'll go there after work. It's 30 fucking miles away. Can't afford solicitor.

There's lots and lots of verbiage on the notice, all in bold, but not much by way of instructions.

Yeah I think that's the point. The court system wants you dealt with and sent out the other side.

"Guilty with mitigation" should mean you get the chance to make your case; it's not guaranteed that the court will accept it, but there have been cases which have been overturned on this basis.

I would seek legal advice. Pleading guilty with mitigation isn't working in the single justice process at the moment. I can only find it as a podcast - it's Page 94 (private eye podcast) Paul Foot awards episode 1. It shows how the mitigation isn't even read
