Possible broken index finger

I managed to trap my finger in a reclining chair at the end of April It was half the size when it was released.
A deep cut healed well, but as the swelling went down it has recently become sore
I have messaged GP with photos, but just wondering if I'll be told to go to MIU
Any opinions welcome

If it’s been going on since April, it’s not really an MIU job as if there was a break, the bones will have already healed. Looks like it might have been broken (assuming it’s your middle finger?) but it will have set now. Wait and see what your GP says.

I’d wait for your gp. Not much can be done. I’ve got one knuckle larger than all the others where I hit it with a sledge hammer demolishing a wall in my kitchen about 30 years ago.
I believe the treatment for a broken finger is to strap it to the next finger or a flat lolly stick.

As I thought, It's only recently become noticeably sore. I was just glad I still had my finger at the time!
