Is anyone else familiar with this account (or accounts similar) bothered by their content?

I’ve seen this particular ‘mummy vlogger’ post videos about her children’s daily routines, their likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses, behavioural challenges, eating habits, medical conditions and so on. You name it, she’s selling it.

Is there anything that we can do to protect these children? Would their school be interested? Or social services?

There doesn’t seem to be any legislation to protect these children from their exploitative parents and it appears to be a case of the law not keeping up with advancements in technology (as is so often the case!)

I really feel for these children and wish I could do something to help them.

Does anyone share any similar thoughts or feelings?

I don’t think the law has been quick enough to change to stop people pimping out their babies and children on social media. On Reddit there’s a lot of people that are anti child exploitation - like anti Maia Knight, Cole Labrant. There’s subreddits about them all. They are often aware that pictures of their children in nappies or swimwear have ended up on child sex abuse websites and they continue to post them.
I think it should be against the law. How embarrassing for a child for its parents to have shared potty training, medical issues etc with literally millions of people.

I’m not familiar with those (I assume) influencers but it sounds as though the sentiment of their content is much the same. I agree with you that the law isn’t doing enough to protect these vulnerable and voiceless children.

Muddlethroughmummy in particular grates on me because she presents herself as inoffensively as she can, dressing in childlike coloured and patterned clothing and prancing around to various trending songs and sounds, but it doesn’t make her any less conniving

She’s probably making a decent amount of money from doing what she’s doing.

Of course she is and yet there’s no one with any authority who’s going to hold her accountable for it

What I hate most is the parents of children who are disabled exploiting their children. Many claim to do it to raise awareness but it seems, to me anyway, at the expense of their child. Surely there’s a better way. Even more sad when the child can’t talk yet.

Invisimamma · 07/07/2024 23:19

She's awful. Read her thread on tattle.

She doesn't feed her kids properly either. She got food issues herself and passing them onto her kids.

Her sister is nearly as bad 'adventuresofthewests.'

Greyblind09 · 07/07/2024 23:23

Is there anyone we can report these people to? I know they’re not breaking any laws but surely there’s some sort of safeguarding process somewhere that has the interests of these children in mind?

I've blocked her on all social media.
It's like the ghastly fod and mod again.
