Driving licence out of date

Hi, does anyone work for the DVLA or could please help me?

I had to send a pic of my photo card to someone and they pointed out that it:

1. has the wrong address on (I moved 7 years ago)
2. I didn't know you had to renew licences every 10 years, so it's out of date too.

I've tried renewing online, but can't and am really worried that I might be fined or banned.

Any help to sort this would be very much appreciated

Don't worry! It happened to me during covid. It's the card that has expired, not your driving licence.

What I did was to go to the Post Office, they took a new photo and filled out the paperwork for a small fee (can't remember how much). They sent my card off on the Tuesday and a new one arrived on the Friday.

If you've got time to do that tomorrow, I recommend it.
