Child passport renewal question- pls help

Hello

im trying to renew my sons passport but there is a section on there asking “were you married “ ? It’s a bit confusing because I’m not sure what to put .

my son and his dad got married AFTER he was born (born in 2017 ‘married 2020) so is this question asking if we were married at his time of birth which is definitely no or do I say yes?

im still with my maiden name not changed anything yet if that matters.

I keep getting conflicting answers on whether to put yes or no so decided to throw it out here . Thank you

Is it an online application? What section is it?

Yes it is an online application. Can’t remember from the top of my head but it is part of asking for child’s parent details and parents DOB I think

I think the answer is No, you were not married at the time of birth. Per the guide,it indicates that if you were married (but to someone else) it affects nationality.
