Flightradar - loads of helicopters

I like using Flightradar/ADSB Exchange to check out what's flying overhead, but have noticed that this morning there are loads of helicopters around the area going northwest from Heathrow up to west of Milton Keynes - more than you would usually expect to see in the same area.

Are they carrying TV cameras and awaiting some event or other?

British Grand Prix?

Silverstone for sure, however they won't have come out of Heathrow airport

They are all visiting for the British Grand Prix - it will be TV/media, drivers/team members and the celebs.

You will often see groups over Shropshire, but that's the flying school at RAF Shawbury.

Last week we had six Apache 64's and three Chinooks of the Dutch Air Force fly over. Two Apache's were so low over the garden you could see the pilot's facial outline and communication equipment. Later, two RAF Apache's flew back the other way.

Silverstone, many many people are helicoptered in. I was once. Most of the drivers, most high profile guests, most of the teams,

All heading to silverstone, British Grand Prix. Apparently there's dedicated helicopter landing!
