Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa, with a purring kitten in my lap 🥰 The other's sat next to us but she doesn't seem too keen on sitting with people. Unfortunately, I do need to shift and get my tablets soon.

We have no plans I don't think - probably a good job as I'm feeling a little bit hungover - did not need that last glass of wine 🙄

I'll probably head back to bed for an hour or so & then get up and potter about. Maybe some crafting if I can decide what to do, or I'll spend an hour or two with my book.

We're having bangers & mash for tea, with Yorkshire puds 😋 . I'll probably get my shower not long after tea & have a very very early night ahead of work tomorrow 💤

I'm off to a local gallery owned by Damien Hirst which I've only just discovered exists.
After that I need to return some clothes I bought and will pop to the supermarket.I'll take a leisurely walk back along the river.
I should really do some housework later but may end up lounging with my book or watching a film.

I'm going to get on my bike fir the first time since having both hips replaced.
Just a quick ride around the local park with DH & DC but I'm actually really excited! After that, some batch cooking for the next few days.

Hey all! Happy Sunday!

Currently sat in bed with DS chowing down on a Greggs we ordered off just eat, first time we’ve done it and pleasantly surprised with how cheap it was.

House is absolutely upside down due to holiday prep - we go away on Wednesday night and I’m working/DS has nursery Mon-Weds so really all packing needs to be done today. Will finish that all off and try to give the house a good tidy so it’s ready for our return!

Also have a group call to finalise details for the holiday, need to update my holiday spreadsheet with last minute changes as well as print off EVERYTHING. Will put together our snackle boxes for the plane too.

Good morning lucysmam & everyone. In bed enjoying a cuppa made by DH but have been awake since about 8. Not much planned for today. I’m really hungry as didn’t feel like eating much after an argument with DH last night. Might rustle up a bacon sarnie. Which reminds me, need to buy a white loaf for DD. Also need liquid soaps & I might treat myself to an England t shirt in Tescos if they have any left. DH will be finishing off building his new bike & hopefully riding it. Butcher’s cracked black pepper sausages for tea with pub style chips & peas. DD will sort herself out. Might watch a film tonight if I can stay awake! My Vit B12 injection is due soon & I am getting the symptoms earlier than usual which is a pain.

Still in bed as I didn't wake up until 9. Gobsmacked as I haven't been able to sleep past 6.30 for months now. Feeling a bit disorientated!

DH has just gone down to make coffee and start bacon and eggs. He's a good one.

Need to pop out today to pick up some new pillows and some hot chocolate powder as I refuse to pay £4 a tub from Tesco! Other than that a quiet day I think. 10 days of term left and DD is desperate for it to be the holidays.

Slow cooker ham hock for tea, not sure what with yet, maybe mash and salad and then homemade triple chocolate brownies.

I'm having a lovely lie in while DH and DS do maths homework downstairs then they're going to the driving range to hit a few balls. Then it'll be lunch, a long dog walk if the rain stops, DS swimming lesson and back for chicken & chorizo pie, a large glass of red and the last two episodes of The Long Shadow.

Missed you yesterday until it was late. I'm on holiday, so I'm sitting on my bed, waiting for everyone else to get dressed for breakfast.
Morning by the pool, in for lunch and the British F1, and then maybe a laze on the balcony before showers and dinner.
We have done other things, BTW, it's not totally just lying around and eating.🤣

Hi everyone, so glad there's a thread for Sunday as I really enjoyed the Saturday one yesterday. I woke up at 5, I'm waking up earlier and earlier these days, menopause side effect unfortunately! I took the chicken breasts out of the freezer as I forgot last night, so there are some positives about waking up early I suppose! Just a quiet day today, it's raining pretty heavily but supposed to go off later and I'm hoping to get out for a walk. Just doing a bit of housework this morning and trying to read the weekend papers. I plan an afternoon of four in a bed (the TV programme, just to make it clear ha ha), then a "Friends Fest", gonna watch all my favourite episodes whilst having a few wines and cooking the (hopefully defrosted) chicken. It's been a stressful week with dh, he's disabled and I'm his full time carer and he's had loads of appointments, which are always difficult, so it's nice to just chill out on a Sunday. Hope everyone has a good day!

I’ve lost my voice! I wasn’t even yelling at the football, so think it’s just where I’m a bit run down. So, I’ve treated myself to tea, doorstep toast and a bath, finished another James Patterson book on my library app. I now need to start my packing as we are off on holiday a week on Monday, but work is going to be busy next week and we are visiting friends next Saturday, so I want to be done and dusted.
@Whataweirdsituation - tell me more about your snack boxes please, I could do with some inspiration, we are flying with Jet2 and their meals (that you have to pay for) don’t look very appealing.

Im up and dressed and waiting for the rain to stop 🙄

Then will head out for a walk and come back via the supermarket to do my shop.

Then the house needs a good sort out (as ever) and I'll spend the evening painting and watching a few episodes of New Amsterdam.

Then shower and early to bed with my book 😊

Procrastinating with a coffee, and about to browse the library 'borrow box' app for an audio book, before starting on a mega tidy...want to try and get house vaguely organised before holidays start. On the plus side the weather is horrible, so domestic drudgery doesn't seem quite as bad, as it would on a sunny day...one day I'll live in a tidy house dreams on.

i missed yesterday’s thread somehow.

I’ve been up for quite a while. Had a few cups of tea and some toast and honey. And I’ve been sneezing a lot. Bloody allergies. We had a door blocked up last week and a few other things done and there is so much dust still. So far I’ve vacuumed the sofa I sit on. Need to go around with damp dusters I think and do the floors.

I’ve done a wash and am about to hang that up. Then the cleaning and I should do some ironing.

Planning an hour with my book later. And it’s steak, salad and home grown new potatoes for dinner.

Just back from my first ever lake swim and feeling on top of the world!
Going to finish filling in an application form for an internal position that came up recently.
Dh has cleaned the kitchen and is making a big cooked breakfast for us all. Well for ds and us, one dd is working and the other stayed at a friends last night.
Not sure what the plans are for the rest of the day, it’s absolutely chucking it down here.
Need to book a food shop for tomorrow.
Bit of a blah day, had a really good sleep last night, still catching up from Thursdays all nighter!

Will make everyone’s lunch as usual and clean up after. 2 loads of washing. Bathroom and en-suite to clean.

Avoid angry outbursts from dp. Just a normal day.

We had an early start as weather looks bad later and have done 2 hours playing at the park with the kids. Quick pop to the shop on the way home to get some bits to make paella later. Kids now on iPads so we can have a cuppa in peace! Eldest already asking when I'm going to play football with him! In for the rest of the day now. Happy Sunday all

I had pain insomnia.. but managed 4 hours sleep.
Had a cuppa and two rich tea biscuits.
Gonna throw a chicken Casserole in slow cooker and have with frozen mash..
I'm usually out on a Sunday for a drive out with family but this pain is horrific today so I'm resting as much as l can.
Just done on line Sainsbury shop for delivery in morning.
They are really great at bringing it into my kitchen and un packing onto kitchen counter for me.
I will have to grin and bare my pain tomorrow.. Mondays is my day to see my psychotherapist.
Uber there and back.
Just going to get a shower and clean pj's on.( Thank goodness for a wet room with aids).
Cat was a dirty stop out last night.. so ill probably have company on my bed all day.
I'll also be having a visit from daughter and one or two of Grandsons.

DP is making a fry up for us all bless him. I've done a load of washing and hung it up, wanted to hang it outside but it looks like it's about to Chuck it down.
Need to nip to asda for meal prep stuff for the week then it's back home, showers and love island with a glass of wine which I'll enjoy as my diets starting tomorrow.

@Namechanged11111 that sounds really rubbish. Is there any way you can carve a little bit of time for yourself?

I have been up early today, prepping for an interview tomorrow, reading board reports and doing some practice questions. I think the organisation has someone acting into the role so I'm likely an outside chance, but will give it my best.

I've had a long bath and done all my skincare, now painting my nails. I've got some laundry and ironing to do and plan to make a list of small jobs that need to be done round the house so I can focus on getting them done. I'll have a big salad for lunch,I've got lots of nice fresh bits in.

This afternoon I'm going to the gym and have a guest pass for a friend so I'll do my workout and then we'll have a swim and steam. DD will be making risotto for dinner. Maybe a glass of wine and a TV show this evening, or I may get an early night and read my book. I've just started a new John Grisham novel, and I've read everything else he's ever written.

Good morning everyone, it’s raining here…..
I woke up at 5.30 so have got lots done (didn’t get up until 7), the dinner is prepped, just needs cooking. I have also tidied around downstairs, made breakfast for DD, put the dw on and will empty it in a bit, done the border on one side of my crochet blanket, three sides to go, fed the dogs and I need to do the ironing next.
I hope today goes well for you all.

Home later for showers, spaghetti bolognese and a film.

The smallest child has a vomiting bug so not a great deal! She's gone for a sleep and I've cleaned the kitchen and got the sicky bedclothes in the washing machine. Suppose I'll read my book today while we cuddle on the sofa.
