I'm currently applying for jobs and googled 'cover letter examples' to help me type a good cover letter. At the top of the search results was a website called AltResume which helps with cvs/cover letters and can also generate cover letters with AI. I subscribed to a 7 day period for £1.90, which I paid by credit card, but they took £29.90 from my account instead. I looked at the trust pilot reviews which were nearly all from people saying they'd been scammed by this company which which kept on taking their money and that it was impossible to cancel their subscription. I've tried calling my bank tonight but the lines are closed so I'll have to wait til tomorrow. I also tried cancelling my subscription but they wanted me to enter they last 4 digits of my payment card which i refuse to do. I'm worried sick that they'll continue to take more money from my account and that I won't get it back. They also have a lot of my personal details as I had previously uploaded my cv. I'm so angry with myself for not checkinh the reviews before paying anything. Does anyone have any advice please?
