If they were the opposite sex

I had dc twins - who turned out to be boys

But our girls names were Poppy and Daisy

First of our friends / sibling group to have DC so one told us that Poppy and Daisy were the naughty twins in Ben and Hollys little kingdom Blush

We have two boys, but if girls, would have been Hannah and Holly.

BouleDeSuif · 07/07/2024 12:54

Either Jabez, Jethro or Raphael.

JockTamsonsBairns · 07/07/2024 13:15

DS, 15, would have been Maisie

DD, 14, wasn't Maisie as I'd gone off it. Had she been a boy, she would have been Alistair.

Zachary
Isla
Grace
Diana

One of my boys is Zachary, it's always been my favourite boys name.
I no longer like Isla but remember loving it at the time (10+ years ago) so pretty sure he'd have been named that.

Karatema · 07/07/2024 13:55

My eldest would have been Elisabeth. My youngest never had an alternative sex name as I was positive which sex I was having. This was 1980s.

We didn't know what we were having. I've had my boys name picked out forever and that's what we had.
Had he been a girl he would have been Anna.

Gobimanchurian · 07/07/2024 21:24

We had twins and didn't know what sex until they were born, so needed two boys and two girls names.

We had anna and ruby / ralph and hugo (someone asked if it was ralph Lauren and Hugo boss .. we couldn't be further from designer clad 🤣).

Got one of each in the end.

CosyMosy · 07/07/2024 21:27

DS would have been Lucy. However I found out after DS was born that Lucy was the name (now) exdp and his ex gf would have had if THEIR ds had been a girl 🙃

pambeesleyhalpert · 07/07/2024 21:49

Great names! Did you pick 2 completely different names or did you choose one from your pairs?

Dc1 would have been Edward and dc2 would have been Noah. I've massively gone off Noah since (sorry to any parents of Noahs!) as there was an absolutely insufferable mum at dc's primary with a Noah.

SouthLondonMum22 · 07/07/2024 23:40

DS Rupert would've been Matilda.

Twin DD's Felicity & Matilda would've been Chester & Felix.

Clementine87 · 07/07/2024 23:40

Dd1 would've been Finn
Ds would've been Lottie
Dd2 would've been Milo

TheHateIsNotGood · 08/07/2024 00:01

The same name I gave him, although many advised that James was not a good name for a girl because I was set on the name irrelevant of the sex of my baby.

I suppose as I felt I got a lucky break being born a girl and therefore not named Angus (really too much when coupled with my last name) the similar applies to ds who luckily suits his name and despite everything causes no controversy because of it, although he has courted some controversy when a young dc, it definately wasn't due to his name.
