Do any wise MNetters know anything about car insurance claims?
I don’t want to go into details due to it being possibly identifiable and the fact the person who hit my car was very verbally aggressive after the incident. Someone nearby came to stand with me while
we swapped details, number plates etc, all of which has been given to my insurers. Neither of us swapped addresses, I didn’t even know you were advised to until I got home and googled it. I would not have felt safe sharing this anyway tbh due to the way they acted at the scene.
Would my home address ever be shared with the other driver at any point during correspondence while the claim is handled? The person I spoke to from my insurers told me it would not as it would a GDPR breach for that info to be shared.
Can anyone confirm this is correct?
