Please give me some ideas for a birthday present for my 4 yo nephew.

He has ASD and global developmental delay and is non verbal. He is starting school in September.

I have a couple of t-shirts and shorts but not sure what else to get him.

My nephews liked those goo-jit-su marvel figures when they were younger

Duplo or basic Lego.

Kinetic sand might be good if he likes sensory /tactile things. Maybe check with the parents first as I think it can be quite messy!

He's not ready for Lego. I bought him Duplo at Christmas but he still can't really play with it.

Magnatiles are my go-to gift for any age between 3-6, they are always a hit!

Hugesunflower · 06/07/2024 13:23

Magnatiles, PlayDoh + shapes for it.

My Ds is 3 but also ASD and GDD. He is also non verbal and can't really play either, but loves anything with light and sound, the sort of thing you can just press a button. Even just little led colour lamps.

His favourite toy atm is this 'drum'

Also bubbles.

I suppose more like a 2 year old. Sorry should have said that before. It's not always easy to know exactly as he is more advanced in some ways than others.
