Choose a ticket that includes the hold luggage (there will be options when you book). He will need to check in online before going to the airport, if he doesn’t they’ll charge him a fee for the check-in.

Not really OP. They tend to try to squeeze every last penny out of you with add ons, so if he's not bothered about where he sits or doesn't have heavy bags to check in, that shouldn't be a problem. I've never really had a problem with them.

You'll obviously need his passport details.

Yep make sure you check what size bag you can take and book a ticket that allows for it.

it usually will be cheaper to buy water /snacks air side of the airport (after passport control, so you can take it on board) then buy on the flight. Don’t think they take cash on the flight, card only.

Does he have a passport?

sevsal · 06/07/2024 11:18

Can your DS not book his own flight?

LibertyDuck · 06/07/2024 11:20

Sounds like it will be a lot easier if he books it himself!

Yes. The tickets and boarding pass (make sure you book him in) will be sent to you. Then forward them to his email address. You could also text the flight details to him on the the day.

parkrun500club · 06/07/2024 12:25

If you are booking it make sure that the cardholder doesn't need to be travelling. British Airways used to require that, and it would seem like Ryanair would try anything to prevent people travelling and keep their money if they can get away with it.
