How much difference does 7lbs make to you?

I've been over weight for about 15 years. Morbidly obese the last 8 years maybe?

I've lost nearly 90lbs.

A couple of years ago I got to 150lbs and took a photo in a dress.

I looked so slim.

After that I gained a little and go to about 168lbs.

I'm now back down to 157 and tried the dress on.

It fits! But I just don't look like the photos around my midsection.

After spending a good amount of time at 250lbs I guess I lost perspective of what even a few lbs difference can make.

I aim to get to 140lbs, but does just half a stone make a visible difference to your body?

a half stone is the difference between my trousers fitting, and not. My waist is the point where I first lose/gain weight these days. It’s a bummer.

Depends on your height. I'm 5'9" so doesn't make a huge difference to me (although clothes are tighter).

It makes a huge difference to me but I'm only 5'0.

Well done on losing so much, that's amazing.

Well done on your weight loss.

I think it does. I've recently lost 45 pounds but my weight sticks around my lower stomach and boobs, always has. I have lost some of the weight from here but I'm now quite slim elsewhere and wouldn't want to lose much more. The last couple of weeks it does seem to be shifting from my abdomen however so I am hoping to lose 7-10 pounds more and fingers crossed it continues to come off my middle.

Any weight gain goes straight to my stomach so I notice it immediately - trousers are tighter or, whilst they still technically 'fit' I feel uncomfortable in slim fit dresses.

It hasn't made much difference to my tummy, that's always the last place for me to lose weight. but I can see in my face and ankles I'm less puffy.

I think a bit is down to age too, early 40s I was really trim late 40’s I do weigh more but am just generally stockier.

Thought the same when I saw a picture of a friend with her daughter going to prom yesterday. Friend is trim but next to her dd just looked stouter/thicker body wise.

7lbs is like 12 blocks of butter. I’m tall and definitely notice that.

It can certainly make a noticeable difference in the fit of an item of clothing. But I think one thing to consider is that even if you weigh exactly the same, you won’t have the same body shape as last time you weighed that same weight several years ago.
