How busy is Alton Towers at the moment?

So we’re about 2 weeks away from the kids breaking up in the North, I’d like to go before the crowds get busy / have I missed the boat? Is it busy already?

Lots of schools go before end of year so I would say busy.

Ah I didn’t think of school trips! I’m looking at a crowd predictor & it’s saying quiet midweek

What's the crowd predictor?

I live very near Alton Towers and I would say it isn't as busy as other years at the moment due to the traffic coming through. It could just be down to the weather being crap at the moment.

GCSE & A level students have finished
Scottish schools are already on holiday

We’re taking 600 kids next week. We will not be the only school doing so….

DS was there on a school trip just last week. It was mobbed he said.

Loads of schools take pupils there for end of term reward trips.

We just went on Tuesday. Dd waited in line for the smiler for 2 hours. Even the kiddies octonaughts ride in cbbebies land was a 50 min wait.
Loads of buses.

Oh god that’s what I wanted to avoid that long wait, we can’t afford fast passes but don’t want to be stood in a queue all day either

I said similar on another thread about theme parks but it will probably be busier now than in the holidays because of all the school trips. I honestly wouldn't bother unless you go with fast passes
