Budget pod holidays

Can anyone recommend any cheap pod holidays for the summer holidays please? Desperate to get away but times are hard and we can't afford loads. Family of 4 with 2 dc. Ideally looking for somewhere with nice walks and lots of outdoor spaces as dc are young and easily entertained.

What would be your budget, and do you have any areas of the country in mind?

Where about in the country do you want to go?

We stayed at a great pod at Craigtoun Meadows in St Andrews, it was cheap!
Also loved Ullswater Heights in the lake District, we stayed in the movie themed pod, we got a good deal on that too, but it was slightly more expensive.

Look on Hoseasons or Sykes Cottages with your dates but they'll all cost a packet in the school hols. East Yorkshire coast has some decent ones. Pods probably dearer than lodges or caravans.

The Hideaway at Baxby Manor near Thirsk is in a pretty little valley. They have glamping pods that look like little hobbit houses! Walks and wildlife all around. It's more 'back to nature' than luxury, but I've camped there and it's really nice.

Look at caravans at less fashionable resorts? East coast for instance. Or to save more go camping, you can pick up a tent for about £200

What area are you looking at?
