Stories about houses selling fast pls

We’ve gone on the market a few days ago, had viewings every day since (one second view) two more tomorrow and another booked next week.

this all feels very positive and we’ve priced reasonably and accurately Imo. Lots of value for money but the area isn’t amazing so price reflects this too. Feedback has been house is beautiful but doesn’t suit for practical reasons (things out of my control like the viewers mobility issues)

however I am so scared we won’t sell! We are moving abroad and really need to sell asap.

happy stories please! Or thoughts on whether a flurry in first few days of going live is as positive as I think it is or a bit of red herring?

How are you getting on? Did you get an offer? My experience is not much is selling near me and it's all getting reduced slowly. Our house has been on since May and reduced significantly, 24 viewings and still no offers. Like you, feedback is things out of our control like downstairs too small etc. We are about to reduce again.

The school summer holidays are usually the worst/slowest time of the year to go on the market, alongside Christmas. Is there a reason you chose this time of year?

My EA has said things are busy over June, July and August as people have more time to look at houses. If you're in a position of needing to sell then you just have to do it and price accordingly.

It’s all about pitching the price right. It’s positive that you’ve had a good number of viewings already. Be warned though, it’s a buyers’ market.
