What’s Everyone Up To This Weekend?

DD15 is at her GF’s so DH & I are enjoying the lack of drama! I’ve just finished making a slow cooker pork dish for tea - the butcher’s shoulder steaks are the thickest I’ve ever seen! Going to see DM this afternoon. Working tomorrow & will miss the England kickoff but I think it’s on BBC1 in which case I can watch from the start. Will just have to avoid hearing the halftime score! Butcher’s black pepper sausages with chips & peas for Sat tea. I might go to a country fair on Sunday as it’s to raise funds for a local charity. Was planning a BBQ but we need a new one so will have to rethink what’s for tea.

School fair tomorrow. Got an anxious eye on the forecast as last year was a washout!

Love the idea of this thread!

We normally have very busy, fun packed weekends (single working mum who uses fun weekends to feel less guilty 😂)

However, we are off to Australia next week for our holiday, so I’ve earmarked this weekend for packing like a madwomen, and maybe a lil snack tour of the local shops to make up our ‘Snackle boxes’ for the plane.

I've been feeling poorly this week so having a chilled weekend. Hopefully reading my book and maybe a glass of wine with a nice dinner.
Football will be on so will keep half an eye on that.

Schools out for the summer in my corner of Scotland today 🎉 but we start with a yellow weather warning for rain 🤦🌊
So a day indoors tomorrow, I think. Probably lots of snacks and films. Homemade lasagne for dinner. And wine 🍷
I'll make my kids go outside on Sunday as its meant to be dry.... maybe to the new bike pump track that's fairly local.

DH has a work 'family fun day' so we're taking DS and a friend. Then both of them at a party straight after while DH goes to watch the football. Nothing much Sunday, kids park run, clean the car, swimming lessons. Wine.

I married a lovely couple today and then pottered in the garden, followed by chilling out with DH, cava and kebabs.
Tomorrow I am sorting out my rainbow tent, to make sure its ready for the end of July camp, plus sorting out the camping stuff from the last camp. I am going with my good friend, so the baggage will include a caged canary, as well as all the home comforts like rugs, wine (with fancy plastic glasses) and lovely lamps.
There is a village garage sale event tomorrow, so I will set up a table and a hanging rail, to see if anyone wants to buy any of my appalling old tat.
Plus I need to varnish the carved wooden gable end thingy that a friend made me.
Sunday is a nice brunch with DH, either done by me at home or at a cafe, followed by a coven meet in the evening.

Takeaway and early night tonight! Up til 5 watching the elections and then all at work today!
tomorrow dds and I are going for a walk and a pub trip while the boys watch the football 😴
Also got to set some time aside to write a job application form, should probably do that before the pub…
Sunday I’m on wardrobe clearing out duty for ds, need to work out what he needs before holiday.
