Virtual Cabinet

With politics overload over the last few days I thought i'd try a lighthearted approach. Plus its Friday - and I am bored of all the usual debates on here and elsewhere.

So. If you were to build a brilliant "virtual" cabinet who would be in it? Pick any names really political allegiance doesn't come into it here. Who would you pick based on who you think would do a great job at each particular cabinet role. (current politicians allowed if you genuinely think they'd do the best job at given role)

So to start for me. I'd pick below:

Chancellor - Martin Lewis (MSE)
Housing minister - George Clarke
Secretary of state for Environment Food and rural affairs. Sir David Attenborough and Kaleb Cooper.
Secretary for Science, Innovation and Technology - Prof Brian Cox
Secretary for Education - Prof Alice Roberts
Foreign Affairs Minister - Ben Fogle
Prime Minister - Davina McColl.

Who would you add? Smile

I think most of your choices are on the ball (not sure about Davina though, even though she is ok). I am having a chuckle thinking of Dame Joan Collins - even though she is to the right I think. I just feel she would be no nonsense though perhaps a bit too much like Thatcher! I would like room for Mary Beard too but not sure where.

I would prefer Simon Reeves or Joanna Lumley to Ben Fogle. Remember how fierce Joanna was to get rights for the Gurkhars??!!!

oooh yes those a both good options. Maybe Ben could be PM instead??? I do like the way he interacts with people - so open minded and kind. But maybe not enough "spunk" to lead a parliament?

@Deathraystare Must admit I'm not hugely familiar with Mary beard but maybe she could be Minister for Women and Equalities?

Maybe Joanna Lumley could be PM instead of Davina?? She's definately got the tenacity. I must admit i was trying to include a female PM.
