I'll preface this by saying I'm not a journo, and it's light hearted. I love the threads where the OP asks for advice/recommendations, where there is quite a specific brief and posters insist on recommending either exactly what the OP has said is not feasible, or something completely unrealistic.
There was a thread once where the OP said she'd had a bad year, needed a cheap holiday that was possible with a budget flight from Edinburgh. She was thinking Portugal, and did anyone have any budget hotel recommendations? One poster very helpfully said she'd never go to Portugal, but had recently been to a 5* resort in Cape Verde and she'd highly recommend OP try there 😂
