Do I escalate this to leave it to the GP

I have a suspected UTI

GP told me to first wait a few days to see if it went. It hasn't changed, still stings

Urine now smells of pregnancy urine. I remember the distinct smell awful.

I definitely think it's a UTI. It feels like someone has stuck an instrument up my urethra!

Can I ask for a second opinion or just wait and see?

I have had sepsis before from a kidney infection so probably overly cautious

But I was peeing blood with that

Sounds like a uti - you have my sympathy. I wouldn't leave it, especially if you are experiencing discomfort. Pharmacists can now test for uti's and prescribe antibiotics. Hope you feel better soon

ask the gp for a pharmacy first referral or just go in and they will test and treat.
