I used to live in Guildford too and they've often gone LD - always surprised me T Wells wasn't as progressive until now. I have to say a lot of my friends in both areas have kids in private school so were always unlikely to vote for Labour on that alone plus most voted remain, so LD gave them a good option at least. I also think it has held LD to higher analysis of policies (both areas will happily engage with a fool who dares to turn up on their doorstep to fight a point), which has worked well nationally.
