One of my favorite novels of all time Woman in White on Netflix - will it ruin it for me?

The Woman in White, Wilkie Collins.
I first read it when I was 17.
Since then read it multiple times and have a clear picture in my mind of all the characters and the setting.

Just popped up on Netflix… should I watch it? Or will it spoil the book for me!

Nope! it's the same as never meet your idol , never going to live until the hype in your head

Love this book. I don’t think I’m brave enough to watch it!

My favourite book ever as well! I did my GCSE coursework for English on it.

Is it the TV one from a few years ago? If so, it didn’t spoil it or irritate me at all. But obviously a lot of detail was missed out so it was a simplified version. Which does take away from how brilliant it is as a book.

Thanks everyone
@mnahmnah i think it said 2018/2019 so yes could be the same one!
Good to hear it didn’t spoil it for you! It is such a fantastic book…
I saw the trailer and Marian Halcombe was all wrong! Haha
Not sure… I’ll give it a bit more thought!

Ooh, it's one of my favourite books as well - I did it for my English lit degree 82-85 - so 40 years ago (God I feel old)!
Guess I'll give it a try.
