Why is there no Battenberg ice cream?

It would be like a Viennetta, on a little serving tray ready to be sliced after any dinner party or special occasion. The “marzipan” would be intensely flavoured and extra thick almond ice cream. The pink squares would have a very mild strawberry flavour, and rich vanilla for the plain squares.

I think it would be exquisite!

I used to love the Neapolitan we used to get when I was little, it was strawberry, vanilla and pistachio don’t know why they changed it to chocolate. (I am nearly 70 so was a long time ago) I would definitely eat your Battenberg icecream marzipan is my favourite.

Battenberg is the worst cake and it would make the worst ice cream.

I think the marzipan should be marzipan flavoured icecream (like OP's plan?) rather than actual marzipan... just really want to try it... OP maybe you should make a few different sorts of versions to try?

It’s fairly easy in Italy to find trifle ice-cream, amusingly called English Soup (zuppa inglese). It’s delish.
