If you live in a townhouse what sofa do you have?

We just moved into a townhouse yesterday, but our sofa didn't fit up the stairs to the lounge. So wondered if anyone with a modern townhouse with awkward stairs has sofa recommendations. Something that comes in small bits would be ideal. We'd love a corner sofa bed but I have no idea if that would even be possible.

Lucky I hated our old sofa and it was half dead anyway!!

We have this exact predicament with our townhouse, which we sadly learnt the hard way when we first moved in. More recently we did some thorough research into finding a decent sized sofa that would come in pieces and making sure those pieces also fit around the corner at the top of the stairs. We ended up going with one of Camerich's sofa's. Love the sofa, and glad we didn't have any drama with getting it in.

We have a balcony door on first floor above garage that sticks out. We popped the door out - neighbours popped a window out. Is this an option?

Swyft sofas come in boxes (and are quickly assembled once they are up the stairs)

We have a juliet balcony we could hoist the sofa up into. I just don't know how we'd do it. I presume there's specialist companies that do it?

But knowing we'd have to do the same to get rid of the sofa puts me off. I'll be looking at the recommended sofas thank you.

Me!
We bought from Furniture Village. The salesman swore the modular sofa I bought would go up the stairs. It didn’t. Paid £200 to get it hoisted through the French doors on the first floor. Was quite easy.
But. I regret not just getting another sofa from Nabru. Their sofas fit anywhere and we had one for ten years and it was great. Even has storage. Nabru sofas break down into small pieces so fot anywhere. They just haven’t updated their fabrics for a decade and didn’t a navy I liked.

Update. Just checked and Nabru have ceased trading. What a shame.

What a shame! Hiw did you find the furniture hoist people? Google isn't helping me much.
