For information, I have OCD and tend to catastrophise.
I see/hear interviews with Just Stop Oil on the television or radio. They seem to be doing more and more (imo) extreme acts in order to force the governments hand.
But what do they want exactly for 2030?
Most of my family live abroad in Australia, Singapore and a few other places a little closer to home, like Germany. Close/immediate family. People I love very much and visit a few times a year as well as them visiting the UK a few times a year.
I’ve started worrying about being able to fly in the future. If we were stopped from flying, life wouldn’t be worth living anymore for me at least.
Does anyone know what these people are trying to push? I get we have to look after the environment, I do try to do my bit, recycling, litter picking, planting for nature, buying local, minimising waste, buying second hand, using energy as economically as possible etc, walking. But flying is the one thing I do fairly frequently and I don’t want to give it up.
Does anyone understand what they envision for 2030? Can you alleviate my fears.
