Hate sports day

Kids sports day today . Its drizzling with rain. And chilly. Think they finish 11.30 /12 not worth me going home. So I'm stuck for 3hrs with nothing to do apart from eat in a cafe ...although I might end up watching GS sports day after lunch.

Sports days have got boring over the years. It used to be fun . Maybe I'm just grumpy 🤣

I find it weird it involves parents. I don't remember parents being invited when I was at school. It was just a th8ng we did one day of the year and a different day we did a big music competition all day. I don't get why it's for spectators at all.

A chilled-out morning in a café sounds pretty pleasant to me.

Its been like it for years my siblings are in their mid 50s now and my parents went to their sports days and mine.

I hated sports day and also school plays,fates and musical evening.
They are all shite!

Yeah, I mentioned it to a school friend and a couple of years ago and she said parents were invited to ours when I was sure they weren't. I still don't get why though!
