London commercial property firm: what does DS 17 wear to work experience?

DS has a week of work exp next week at a City property firm in London.

What should he wear? I was thinking shirt and chinos. He was thinking a suit.

Any ideas gratefully received!

What do they do? If it's surveyors, chinos and a shirt is fine. If it's asset management I'd say a suit.

He could ask?

He could either ask if there is a dress code or go and have a reccy and watch the building and see what the staff are wearing. Not on Friday though in case it’s a dress down day. The main thing is for him to feel confident so if he is happier to wear a suit, I’d go with that.
