Job hunting, any words of wisdom?

I’ve sent off my CV and applied for a couple of jobs.
These jobs are made for me, I was made for them. It’s a 100% fit.

My CV is pretty impressive, even if o do say so myself.

My bonkers brain is of course split 2 ways:

1. don’t be fucking stupid, they won’t be interested in you for 10000 reasons, there are much MUCH better folk out there dripping in academic qualifications way above your potato like brain function… don’t expect anything back.

2. How can they not be mesmerised by your experience and talent? You will be snapped up no danger!

Im not expecting anything really from either, but can you tell me any reassuring stories about applying for jobs, feeling not at all confident but getting the job nonetheless OR about a disastrous interview you had?

I once turned up a day early for an interview… and still got the job so miracles do happen!!

I've applied for 5 jobs in the past 2 years. I've got a biggish bunch of totally irrelevant qualifications that I put on the applications. But, otherwise, I made sure I matched their list of necessary criteria.

I didn't hear back from one of the jobs but was interviewed for the other four. Three of those interviews felt like a car crash but I was offered all four jobs. 😀

I do not interview well and have been told, several times, that it was my enthusiasm that (just about) convinced them to take me on! 😂
