Dry cracked eyes - help?

I've added some photos.

I've had this crack under my eye for at least 2 months, it just seems to be getting worse and drying out. Then it gets better, then exactly the same again in the morning and the cycle starts again. My eye lid sometimes is really puffy.

I've been applying a moisturising eye cream. Has anyone had similar and can recommend something to help?

I did ask at the pharmacy today and they said to go to the doctors...to me, it just seems a bit extreme to go to the doctors for...I will, I'm just looking for final recommendations before I do go to the doctors.

I should add its under both eyes, but one far worse than the other.

Thank you.

You’ll definitely need some steroid cream for that from the GP.

That looks like eczema. I’m not a fan of steroid cream on the face better to ask for Protopic and moisturise relentlessly. You do need a trip to your GP but make sure to use only the most simple products on your face.

Another one for protopic! Cleared mine up in a week.

Thank you all your replies have been useful.

I was a bit dismissive of the drs appointment as the lady on the counter asked the pharmacist who didn't even look up, had they looked and said they I'd have been more confident that I needed doctors appointment. I'll try and get an appointment, that's going to be the next challenge.

Your eyes are such a lovely colour

(I also think steroid but very mild)

Yes I get this. Use Eumovate twice daily and Aveeno in between. Mines now gone but if the weather gets particularly hot it can come back so I just do that again immediately and it doesn’t worsen
