I'm flying solo, long haul with my toddler next week. I want to have a small tablet they can watch some cartoons on. It doesn't have to be all singing/dancing as I'm only planning to use it as a treat to pass some time on the plane. All I really want it to do is be able to download some cartoons at home and play these on the plan. I don't have an ipad/streaming services so this is a bit new.

What do you more tech savvy suggest?

I’ve heard rubbush things about kids fire (Amazon) tablets- I’d be inclined to go for a refurbished iPad for longevity without too much expense. DD has a 2020 model that is still going strong and if you have an iPhone yourself it’s very handy for monitoring screen time etc. Not really necessary now but handy as she grows

BBC iplayer, Disney plus and Netflix will all let you download shows to watch offline. The CBeebies games apps are also very good and have lots of simple things a toddler can do.

If you're flying long haul, won't the plane have tv's in the back of the seats? We flew with Emirates last year and I'm sure there were kids channels.

Thank you both.
There might be kid appropriate channels etc but I’m hoping to download some favourites for guaranteed happiness!

iPad.

Loads of great educational and/or soothing things on CBeebies to download.
