Ours varies each year but usually 2/3 times

We usually have one family holiday, if that's what you mean. But we also go to stay with grandparents for a night or two 2-3 times per year. And dh and I each try to take each dc away on their own for 1-3 nights for some 1-on-1 time once a year.

Depends what you mean by breaks with the DC. I mean, they come along with us whatever we do, they're part of the package!

So far this year we've done a family holiday abroad and two long weekends away - one for a festival, one for my birthday (both UK).

This summer we have planned a week away with my in-laws in the Cotswolds, and a long weekend for DH's birthday. We're also likely to try and go somewhere in October half term, finances permitting.

Either 1 (summer) summer, or 2 (Easter & Oct halft term) family holidays.

Few weekends staying with family.

Maybe 1-2 a camping trips, usualy sper of the moment, depending on weather.

Holidays not really, at least not big ones. DDs autistic although has very low support needs, she prefers city breaks in the UK. We live 20 mins walk from a lovely sandy beach and 5 minutes drive from a big seaside town so we don't really crave the beach as we go all the time.

We've done quite a few Premier Inn breaks to make a week / end of events this year and we have a week in Dorset for a family geology break and DDs off to Barcelona with school in Feb but don't tend to jet set off anywhere.

We did 2 weeks in Tenerife once and DD enjoyed it but didn't fancy going back as it was too hot and bright.

Did Disneyland when she was 4, she was ill for the week and doesn't want to go back as it's too busy.

One longer summer holiday usually 10 days days and then a week skiing and then maybe 3-4 other breaks ranging from 2-5 days.

Hamandcheesetoastiess · 30/06/2024 17:13

Uk holidays are included, not just abroad.

Didn't do anything with DC last year but this year have 2 short trips over the summer, one for 2 days/1 night and another for 3 days/2nights. Looking forward to it too!

We usually go away for a week at Easter and a week during the summer holidays. We've also started a tradition of going away with extended family for a weekend during the autumn for birthdays etc.

Additional to that, we might do a couple of weekends away.
