A good use of news space. Having already seen CF I was interested to learn about this, and it looks like it could be worth pursuing. Saving 300Kg fertiliser isn't chump change and much better for the environment.

Farmers produce food at barely more than it costs to produce. They work massively long hours for barely minimum wage. Where does the money come from to pay the IHT bill?

With land selling for >£10,000/acre it doesn't take much farm land to meet the threshold for IHT. And yes, it's increased if owned by a married couple but not for say... brothers in business with each other.

This has the potential to decimate family farms and food production.

In an attempt to tax people like Mr Clarkson, Labour have conveniently forgotten the vast majority of farmers are at breaking point.
