Best site for online dating?

Don't all shoot me down at once I have read the horror stories on here about how online dating seems to be awful and that there is no hope 😥 however I find myself in a position that I'm going to give it a try. So hit me with your best sites (albeit if any) I'm not really a social butterfly so no chance of meeting people out and about plus I would never have the courage to approach anyone and wouldn't know if they where single. Wish me luck and thank you all

Good luck OP! I met my partner OLD and I know so many couples that have too.

I met mine on hinge which is a really popular one in London. It depends your age if you don’t mind sharing. Bumble is very popular among people in there. I think plenty of fish used to be popular too.

I think Match is a good one for older crowds.

My tips:

  1. Go into it knowing it can be a bit of a numbers game, don’t get disheartened when conversations fizzle out without meeting or people don’t call after one date. Everyone is speaking to lots of people which makes it very different to meeting in real life.
  2. Remember a lot of men don’t take nice photos of themselves! So try and give a guy who has potential a chance.
  3. Meet up quickly and don’t chit chat for too long as you really can’t tell until you meet!

You tend to find a lot of the same people on multiple sites - POF, Tinder, Bumble, Hinge etc.

I exhaust one site and move on to the next 😂

Facebook dating has worked for me twice. Split up because of child issues though.

Tinder is busiest imo.

Yes I wouldn’t do two at once yet as so much admin, maybe do one until you get bored! I would pick bumble or hinge at your age ☺️

Online dating takes patience but can be very rewarding once you find the right site that works for you. Ironically, over the years, the more well known and popular dating sites haven't worked for me.
I tend to search extensively when browsing online. I'm that guy who ignores what I see on the first page of google just to see what else is out there. The sites that I would put in my top 3 are Wickedslam dating, Shagslam and Foupster.
What I particularly love about these sites is that their security protocols seem to be superior.
You are notified about the status of your account after you register and customer service seems to be just an email away. That is something I always look for when it comes to spending my money on any site or app. I need to know that if there is an issue, I can get a speedy response. That peace of mind is something I cherish.
Whatever you do, stay away from free dating sites. That's where the scammers love to operate. That brings me to this point. If you ever come across a suspicious profile you can report that said profile to the admin to confirm that all is well. I have found that Wickedslam dating and Shagslam are especially vigilant where such matters are concerned. Feel free to message me if you need any help navigating your online dating journey. Cheers.
