Finally got an adult ASD referral from my GP. Got sent a letter from local NHS board with a link to a Microsoft form (all about my life from childhood etc) that I have to fill in online within 2 weeks or the referral is rejected.

Spent ages filling in the form last week, like an entire evening. Got a bit frazzled towards the end (some very difficult stuff to have to put in writing) so did a rush job on the last few questions then selected the option to "save and edit later". Had to log in to my Microsoft account to save it.

But now when I go to edit my responses, the filled form is there in my Microsoft account but when I open it I get a message saying "the form does not exist or has been deleted". Please tell me it's retrievable?? Because I honestly don't think I can do it from scratch a second time, it was awful and took so long 😭 and it has to be sent back really soon!

Have you tried using the original link?

Yep, it just opens the blank form 😭

Could you copy and paste the answers across into the blank one?

Could you save your copy as PDF (sometimes by "print to PDF") and submit via email?

And triple check you're logged into the same account you saved it under when you click the link in the email. Like I have a Hotmail and a Gmail and sometimes one is in control when it needs to be the other.

No because the whole problem is that the saved version has deleted itself somehow! I don't still have any of the answers. When I open the version I saved (which is there in my account) it pops up a message saying it no longer exists 😬

Definitely the same account. I had to log in to my Microsoft account to save it in the first place. When I go into my Microsoft account now, the saved form is there to click on, but when I open it I just get a message saying it no longer exists.

Is it Microsoft online like OneDrive? If so go to recent folders or recent files?

FusionChefGeoff · 29/06/2024 21:06

It could be that it's actually a shortcut link you're clicking on which is looking in the wrong place?? Can you do a quick test on the link again and pay really close attention to where it saves???

I've had this - MS Forms is a PITA. I googled and got this which I think worked for me:

Another way to find your forms: access them through your personal profile. Click your profile image at the top right corner of Microsoft Teams. Then, select “Your apps” & “Forms”. Here, you'll see all forms associated with your account, including the ones you submitted

That's what I've done 🥴 And the form is there, listed as "filled form" with the time and date I saved it. But when I open it, there's nothing there but a message saying the form no longer exists.

Ah, I see, sorry. I take it you've checked your recycle folder in Forms? Have you also tried using a different browser? I honestly hate Forms: we use it at work for HR stuff and I swear it hides things for fun. Good luck, I hope you track your document down

Can you find it in your history?

You could also check downloads or documents to see if it saved itself in one of those places.
