Lady at work keeps pestering me about where I got my outfit for a colleagues wedding. I don’t want to say because she constantly wants to know where I get my stuff from then gets it. It makes me feel unoriginal (even though I am). I tell her normally but this dress is like a hidden gem for me and I just don’t want to share it I want to keep to myself and she’s not pleasant person anyway.

I need some boutique shop names please in London. The dress was short, white, cinched in at the hips, and long sleeve. Great material too.

Say you made it or a friend made it, I make almost all of my own clothes and some for my adult daughter, no one ever has the same outfit (obviously)

But surely she would then just call the shop and bug them as to why they don't know about the amazing white dress. Retail is hard enough without encouraging nutcases to contact small businesses

Agree - say tkmaxx. The one in Covent Garden has a decent gold label section with their higher end stuff.

Just say Vinted. Isn't that where everyone shops these days?

Tell her you got it at a pop up shop at Bicester Village.

I do know of a couple but they're hidden gems and I don't want to share them.

Vinted or a charity shop off Kensington high street.

Not what you want to hear but if she had posted I would tell her to use Google lens and see if it throws up the outfit in question.

They seem to carry random stuff in odd sizes so easy to believe none left only 3 available etc.
