Erythromycin for 5 year old

Interested in everyone else’s experience, DD5 has an ear infection. She is allergic to penicillin. Dr said that she needs to take it every 6 hours, including the middle of the night 😳

Has anyone practically done this? I do feel that sleep is as important as the medicine and the idea of disturbing her sleep just feels wrong.

oh and it tastes absolutely disgusting 🤮

At that age I found I could syringe medicine in to the mouth hardly waking them up.

But yes it is disgusting. Do it followed by Calpol while the infection is still painful.
